For the Mother’s Day assignment, I first got a picture of a rose from online, and then on a new layer, I put a pink background on top of it. After that, on a new layer, I traced the flower frame by frame at a time. Then, turning the background and tracing both into graphic symbols, I used the alpha color effect to make them fade as the picture of the real rose appeared. Then typing the words, “Happy Mother’s Day,” I also turned them into a symbol and used the alpha to make them appear also. After that, I just added buttons and music to match.

For this animation, I first drew the necessary things, such as the background, the hidden ramp, and guy on the skateboard. From this point on, I used frame-by-frame animation to take the guy up the hill, go over the hidden ramp after it was launched down, and exit the screen.

For the guide I simply used the guide technique shown by my teacher to move my drawing of a winged mermaid all over the sky. I then just used the classic tween to move both of the waves I drew back and forth. I then drew a sun with bright lines sticking out of it, but switched its’ colors back and forth to create a flickering effect. For the finishing touches, I just added some music into it.

For the shape tween I first typed out, “Ing,” and then on another layer, typed out “W,” and, “S.” Then I drew two wings in the place of those letters. After that, I broke down the two letters and used the shape tween to morph the two letters into the wings.

For the walking figure, I thought I’d use the bone tool but it proved to be more difficult for me to make look smooth and blend. So I went with the old fashion way and made my drawing’s legs walk frame by frame. Before this, I drew a girl’s torso and head. Then, on two different layers, drew both her legs. For the background I got a background of a path with trees, then duplicated, flipped, and finally put them together. I put one side of the picture to the very edge on the first frame, and on the last I did the same thing but put it on the opposite side and made a classic tween, to make it move side to side.

For this I simply put some waves of an ocean, clouds, and a guy on a surfboard. After drawing those, I got the waves and clouds to move side to side, with the guy moving along with the waves. This was done with the motion tween and classic tween.

For the This Is Me project, I first drew the background of a living room, then me holding a dog with the paintbrush tool. I then wrote each letter of my sentences in different key frames to make them appear one at a time. I then switched to another scene by coloring pink over everything on a new layer. The next scene was with me on my computer, again drawn with the paintbrush tool. To make the book and phone appear, I simply used two classic tweens. The last part I animation with a classic tween, then kept redrawing everything else to create the effect of moving.

For this project, I actually used the “world” setting I was going to use and rotate for the walking figure project, but due to pressed time, wasn’t able to use it. But I managed to finish and use it here. I created a world with different buildings around it and used the motion tween to rotate it. Then I used the paintbrush tool to put different dots of color on it, and turned each of them into symbols. I then used different filters and such for the movie clip symbols, creating the illusion of glowing and flickering lights on top of a city/world.

For this project I did a variety of things. I first drew and colored the scenery of a cave under the sea with a tired mermaid who just woke up, resting on a rock. I then drew some kelp on the right and colored them in with the opacity on 50%. After, I drew a different position for each of the kelp, creating the illusion of moving kelp. For her mouth and tail I kept redrawing each position on each key frame, making her yawn and move her tail. To make bubbles, I used coral to cover them before using a classic tween to make each of the hand-drawn bubbles float up, and made bubbles float up the same way out of the kelp.

For falling objects, I drew a tree, an apple, and a person holding a basket. I copied the apple and pasted it a few times over the tree, and placed them accordingly. I turned the original into a symbol and added a guide. Before that, I used the classic tween for the girl with the basket to walk across the stage. Using precise timing and duplicating the front of the basket, I made the apple appear to fall into the basket while she was walking.
